Twice a year, the North and South Saanich Agricultural Society hosts major events- the Saanich Fair and the Christmas in the Manger Craft Market.
They both are feats of co-operation and rely on hundreds of volunteers to prepare and present them.
On the Labour Day long weekend we host the Saanich Fair.
We have hosted the Fair since 1868.
Thousands of families attend the three day event that features the best of local agriculture, local 4-H projects and livestock, local charity concessions, local businesses and local clubs.
It also features the anticipated West Coast Amusement Midway.
Christmas in the Manger
In November, we host the best juried craft fair for people looking for homemade and homegrown gifts for their loved ones.
It is such a great opportunity for the NSSAS to showcase our fabulous community artisans, makers, musicians and growers.
